Motörhead's Appearance in the Media
Motörhead have been in the news a lot recently over the past couple of months more specifically Lemmy. This is mainly due to Lemmy (the lead singer shown above)'s illness. At the end of 2015 Lemmy was diagnosed with cancer, sadly two days after this he was conformed to be dead. This shocked fans and friends of the band everywhere. The internet was plastered with tributes to the legend. Motörhead were meant to playing a slot at the music festival Download during the alloted time they were meant to be playing a tribute video was shown and different acts were asked to talk about the band and the man himself. The band have not really been in the news much except for this incident. Another time more recently that the band have been in the news is about a tribute statue being placed at Lemmys favourtie bar in American. The statue will be of the man himself and will be placed out the front of the bar. The statue will be life size and realistic.
McFly have also been in the news recently. This is because they have reformed and announced a tour. Unfortunately they have had to reschedule their tour because the drummer suffered an inury which meant that he could not play for a while. This seems to be the only time that mcfly have been in the news recently. The tickets for their tour sold out very quick which shows that the band are popular.
